Book Recommendations
I am putting together an Independent Study for my doctoral program. It will encompass the work we have done this far in launching a non-profit. What books would you recommend on 'leadership' in business, non-profit and church?

The Making of a Leader, by Bobby Clinton
Moses on Leadership by Richard Koch & Andrew Campbell
Leading with a Limp, by Dan Allender
The Unnecessary Pastor, by Marva J. Dawn & Eugene H. Peterson
Leadership Without Easy Answers by Ronald Heifetz. Groundbreaking book!
Good to Great by Jim Collins and the additional monograph for nonprofits on the same subject
I loved Good to Great (and was prepared to hate it :-)).
The Leadership Challenge by Kouzes and Posner is like a leadership bible. The followup, The Legacy of a Leader, looks fantastic.
Peter Drucker wrote a good, but not great, book called Managing the Non-Profit organization
They Smell Like Sheep by Lynn Anderson was a very good church leadership one.
In the Name of Jesus by Nouwen (to root me after learning alot)
The Missional Leader by Roxburgh
The Blue Ocean Strategy
I thought that the Leadership Challenge was overrated - I dont think most ordinary leaders will understand it
